Hi! My name is Jess
Art has been a constant thread in my life from early years carrying a postman pat lunch box full of crayons through to university, where I studied illustration, to my career as an art teacher of 14 years. Working from my cosy home studio I love experimenting usually starting with inks and watercolours to let colour and flow guide me, then add layers of acrylic, gouache or oils. My practice is shaped by my life long love of animals, colour and the mystical. Im inspired by my deep connection to animals and sharing their voice, spirit and energy. I often use symbolism like runes to empower my art with energy and meaning. My goal is to bring these energies and wonder of nature into your home. My hope is that you find connection, joy and inspiration in the pieces I create.
